Throughout February and March, Greentown will be supporting the local communities with food bank collections in both the Florencecourt and Lisburn Depots.
To support the The Trussell Trust, who aim to stop UK hunger, Greentown will be a collection point for food bank donation items between Wednesday 14 February and Thursday 28 March 2024.
Examples of items which can be dropped off are:
• Tinned and dried foods
• Long-life foods
• Canned meat products – pies, chicken curry and other meat products
• Diluting juices and cordials,
• Pasta ‘n’ sauce packets
• Kids snacks
• Instant porridge sachets
• Long life milk
• Sugar
• Biscuits
• Coffee
• Shampoo & conditioner
• Deodorants
• Razors & shaving gel
• Washing up liquid
• Size 5 & 6 nappies & wipes (Lisburn food bank)
Donation boxes will be available to drop off items at Reception in Head Office, Florencecourt, and the Main Office at the Lisburn Depot.
With more people than ever resorting to the support of food banks, and the sharp increase in people needing help outstripping the current food donations, all donations received via Greentown will be greatly appreciated to help keep these food banks stocked.
