Traffic Management Operative

The Role:

Trainee Traffic Management Operative (TTMO)

Location: 63 Marble Arch Road, Florencecourt, Co. Fermanagh, BT92 1DE

40 hours per week, subject to satisfactory probationary period

The postholder will be a confident, reliable, and punctual individual with a proactive approach to their work. Full on the job training will be provided and so the postholder requires no previous traffic management experience but will be a quick learner with a willingness to learn new things. The postholder will be a hardworking individual and work well in a fast-paced team environment by contributing to their team on a daily basis whilst also ensuring they are compliant with all company policies and procedures.

Key Tasks:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary traffic management systems through various methods, such as:
  • Stop/Go Systems
  • 2/3/4 Way Traffic Lights
  • Lane & Road Closures
  • Hard Shoulder Closures
  • Contraflow Systems
• Work closely with management and crews to ensure that all sites are safe for both employees and the general public
• Assist in completing regular and timely site checks and carry out on site assessments when required
• Act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and practices
• Assist in the completion of all necessary documentation correctly and efficiently, using Workpal tablet systems, as well as manual records
• Carry out general yard duties and housekeeping tasks as instructed by the Management team

Essential Criteria

• Full, manual, Driving Licence
• Good listening and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a willingness to improve
• Ability to work under pressure with a level of self-control
• Health & Safety conscious
• Good time management skills

 Desirable Criteria

• Category BE Licence (Trailer)
• Category C Licence (LGV)
• SLG
• CSR or CSCS Safepass Card
• Lantra Approved Traffic Management Qualifications (12D, 12AB, 12A, etc.)
